RSU 21 School Board Opening

After the recent resignation of a RSU 21 school board member representing Kennebunkport in the midst of their term, the Select Board is responsible for appointing an interim member of the School Board until the next annual municipal election, which would be our annual Town Meeting in June 2025.

The application is available now online (RSU 21 Interim School Board Director Application) as well as at Town Hall.

Applications must be returned by 4:30pm on Sunday, July 7th to be reviewed at the July 11th Selectboard meeting.

The Town Clerk is the keeper of public records, past and present. The Town Clerk's department is also responsible for:

  • Coordinate the administration of elections for the town
  • Issue hunting, fishing, shellfish and dog licenses
  • Administer the town’s business licenses, such as liquor licenses, victualer licenses, special amusement licenses, etc.
  • Record and maintain all vital statistics records (birth, death, and marriage certificates) for the town
  • Issue marriage licenses
  • Maintain the town's ordinances
  • Preserve official town records
  • Motor vehicle registrations
  • Collection of real estate and personal property taxes as well as sewer payments
